BITCOIN SETS NEW ALL TIME HIGHS. Alternative Fuel Systems and Marijuana Move Higher $ACB $MARA $OCGN

Bitcoin surged to new all time highs early this morning on news that Tesla $TSLA bought $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. Bitcoin ran to above $45,000 per coin. Bitcoin related stocks moved higher accordingly, with Marathon Patent Group $MARA (1: 40) closing at $32.07, up 42% on the day. Riot Blockchain $RIOT (2: 30) gained 40% on the day closing at $32.79. Ocugen $OCGN (3: 30) rose over 200% mid day after $23 million was raised in a stock offering at a premium. Ocugen closed at $15.81. BSquare Inc $BSQR (5: 20) rose for the second straight day gaining 78% closing at $5.69. Microvision $MVIS (6: 15) pushed higher on US stimulus hopes for tech companies, reaching a high of $15.53 before closing at $14.72. Cassava Sciences $SAVA (7: 45) released milestones for 2021 and their Alzheimer’s research, pressing the price up to $69, closing at $60.67. Energy companies Clean Energy Fuels $CLNE and Westport Fuel Systems $WPRT sprint higher on new fueling deals. $CLNE (8: 50) closed at $17.87 while $WPRT (9: 55) closed at $12.16. Marijuana stocks move higher as a sector with Friday’s news on bipartisan marijauna research expansion. Aphria $APHA (11: 05) closed up 13.9%, Canopy Growth Company $CGC (10: 50), who has earnings before the open tomorrow, closed up 2.2%, and Aurora Cannabis $ACB (11: 30) closed up at $14.87.
