Peterson began her career at large public companies like Kraft and PepsiCo. She then moved to high-growth business. She started her career in finance and M&A, before she moved to operational roles. She ran the Treasury and Corporate Finance functions at Sears during the company’s restructuring (mid-1990s), and was asked to lead the Sears Online business in 1999; she grew it from zero to $500 million in 18 months.

After leaving Fortune 100, she founded Syrus Global in 2002. Syrus developed a platform that provides compliance, risk management and ethics solutions to businesses of all sizes. This service was a key service for companies that focus on Environmental Social and Governance (ESG). A public company in 2009. purchased Syrus. Through 2011, she remained with the acquiring firm to help open and grow markets in Europe and the Middle East.

Peterson is the principal and founder of The Loretto Group. This group helped businesses to achieve sustainable profitability, operational scaling and winning cultures. This was her previous role as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Fluresh, which is a Michigan cannabis processor, manufacturer, retailer, and grower. She was responsible for bringing together people, processes and systems in order to create velocity within the core business model.

Before joining Fluresh Ms. Peterson was the CEO of a start-up in healthcare where she implemented the founder’s idea, raised capital and improved the user experience. Her previous experience in private equity involved her in the acquisition, turnaround, and sale of companies. Big Shoulders Capital was an asset-based lender that she founded and managed.

Alice Peterson served on boards of many public and private companies for over 20years. Boards of public companies include 360 Communications and Fleming Companies. TBC Corporation, Hanesbrands and Williams Partners are all examples. She is currently a member of the SP Plus Corporation (NASDAQ), and chaired its Audit Committee. She is a qualified financial expert.

She is a member of The Chicago Network, The Economic Club of Chicago and the International Women’s Forum. Vanderbilt University awarded her an MBA in finance.
